Franklin Delano Davenport, age 86, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on November 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving wife and family by his side. Mr. Davenport was born on September 14, 1933, to Claude and Rachel (Woodall) Davenport in Camden, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
In Memphis, Tennessee, Franklin Davenport met the love of his life, Jo Ann Doyle, and they married on December 23, 1953. They attended Raliegh Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He then pursued a career, spanning twenty-five years, in the fire service. He served on the Memphis Fire Department where he attained the position of Captain until his retirement. Franklin was also a proud owner and operator of his business, Davenport Pools. He was an avid sports fan and especially of his beloved Tennessee Volunteers.
Franklin Davenport is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Jo Ann (Doyle) Davenport; three sons; Terry, Charles, and Scott Davenport; one daughter, Patricia
(Richard C.) Horton; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one brother, Edward Earl Davenport.
The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorials are made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, AR has been entrusted with Mr. Davenport's arrangements.

So sorry to read of the passing of Mr Davenport. My husband and I purchased a home he built in North Forrest Lakes. That was almost 30 years ago and I am still living there and have reared children and grandchildren in this wonderful home. My condolences to Mrs. Davenport and his sons. Sandra Miller

Frank was a dear & seeet friend of mine. He was always so excited to see me when I stopped by to see him at IRV.
