Clifton Eual Boyd, age 85 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, October 27th, 2019 at his home surrounded by his entire family. He was born at Kimbrell Creek in Leslie, Arkansas on October 21st, 1934 to Eual B. Boyd and Maggie Branum Boyd.
Clifton's father passed away when he was 2 years old. His mother Maggie worked on the farm with her children David, Willie, and Clifton, growing and peddling vegetables, fruit, eggs, milk, and helping with chores. This was their only income. In the summers Clifton worked in the wheat fields of Kansas when he was 14 years old, he then came home to work at age 16 for the Brewster Halsted Family and Mays Ranch. Clifton graduated from Leslie Public School. He then ran the Mays Shell service station for the next 30 years providing service to the Searcy County area. Cliff then decided to leave the service station to put in a Dairy at his farm on South Mountain where he and his family worked the dairy for 12 years. When dad left the dairy, he intended to semi-retire, but retirement wasn't in his vocabulary, Dad went to work for Jack Treat Lumber Co. for a while and then worked for Ozark Construction Company working for Donnie Collins a lifelong friend. This was the job he loved most of all. Clifton Eual Boyd was absolutely the best husband, father and grandfather there could ever be. He treated everyone well and had a very kind and generous heart. Clifton witnessed to his children and grandchildren by living a Godly life before them. He was a Christian and loved the Lord greatly.
