I remember Venita from the years she and mom ( Mary Gray Kirkendoll) worked in the lunchroom together at school. She was always the sweetest person and mom thought the world of her. They’re having a great reunion. Prayers ❤️

Tim, when I think of your mom I think of the fun summers that Jody, Mike,Judy, you and I spent playing. We climbed trees, played on the cliff, rummaged through that old garage and ran up and down the garden terraces, Oh what fun that was! Aunt Neat was always there playing with.us! I never ever remember her being tired or being upset with us. She always had a snack for us. As I sit here and remember her I can just smell the clean smell of her house. She always used lye soap I found out later in life on day when I stopped by to see her. I asked her secret to the clean smell of her house.. Oh the taste of her water was the best. I loved getting a drink out of her snuff glasses that she saved from Granny now I wonder if it was the water that was so good or just my little girl adoration of my Aunt Neat! She had the most beautiful violets- she babied those violets. I am sure that some of us broke them but again I don’t remember her ever scolding us. There were nights of sleeping on pallets, pillow fights, snacks and stories. As I have had children and grandchildren I now know she must have been worn out but we never knew. Oh how I would love one of her sugar cookies. They were a perfect snack! She would put a star on each one with a special glass, then she would let us sprinkle sugar on top. Your mom each day showed the love of Jesus she would pat you if you were upset and offer whatever comfort that was needed. I would stop many unannounced times to see her on my way to and from college. She would have food or cookies to send with me. She always had words of praise to say about her Tim. Diana was also one of her favorite topics. One of the last visits I had with her before she left Clinton she didn’t have any cookies or food to send with me so sent flowers. I came to see her in January even though I am not sure she remembered me she immediately started loving my little grandson Graham. I love the memories but what I love even more is that even though our memories will fade the love of Jesus will never fade my Aunt Neat is right there in his arms. Someday we as family and friends will be right there with her! This is an earthly good bye but really just a see you later. Love you Tim!

I will always have nothing but fond memories of visiting Aunt Veneda and Uncle Howard. Aunt Veneda was the most loving and forgiving person I have ever known. Tim, I’m sure your faith is your strength in this trying time.
