William Browning went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the age of 80. William was born in Conway, Arkansas on December 12, 1938 to A.M. and Blanche Browning.
William was from Greenbrier where he graduated High School. Later that year he met the love of his life, Shirley White Browning from Conway.
He was a veteran, and after serving in the army he attended The University of Central Arkansas where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. He then went on to receive his Master’s degree in Administration. He was the elementary principal at Bauxite for 26 years.
William’s passion was serving the Lord. He and Shirley attended Trinity Baptist Church many years, where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School. William and Shirley started the first Shut In Ministry at Trinity.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche; his father, A.M. Brownin; brother, Wayne Browning; sisters, Betty Sue Jones and Donna Plaugher; and his wife, Shirley White Browning.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Browning, and two sisters, Ruby Nell Pallmer and Kay Bush.
William was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a giver, and one of his favorite sayings was “You can never out give God.” He had a positive impact on everyone he met and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2019 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Kenny Griffin and Dennis Yarberry officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. Serving as pallbearers are Tim Elrod, Kevin White, Lonnie W. Richardson, Bobby Wilkerson, Doug Bush, Brandon Nichols, and Justin Nichols.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
