Patsy McCain Wootten

of West Memphis, AR

July 17, 1940 - October 5, 2019

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, Patsy M. Wootten, loving mother of a daughter and grandmother of three, passed away at the age of 79.

Patsy was born on July 17, 1940 in Earle, AR to Webster and Pearl McCain. She was the youngest of seven children and was blessed with lots of cousins, nieces and nephews that she enjoyed spending time with all throughout her life. She graduated from Parkin High School, where she was a standout basketball player and friend to all. Over the years she worked at the First State Bank in Parkin, before taking on the job of Bookkeeper at Riceland Foods in West Memphis where she eventually retired.

A dedicated member of the First Assembly of God Church in West Memphis, Patsy had many friends. She was widely known for her zest for life and her compassionate spirit. She was very fond of attending all of her high school reunions and she loved to play bridge/card games, travel, and root for the Hogs.

Patsy's pride and joy was her daughter, Lynn and her three grandchildren, Sydney, Samantha and Louis. She loved to visit her family where she enjoyed spending time with them telling stories and sharing laughs, going out to eat and watching the grandkids play sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Paul, Boyce, and Louis McCain as well as her sisters, Marine Phillips and Vera Pirani. She is survived by her sister, Ludean Sartini. She is also survived by her daughter, Lynn, her son-in-law, Lou Rhuda, their three children and many other family and friends who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply.

A gathering of Patsy's family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis on Friday, October 11, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10:00 am at the First Assembly of God Church in West Memphis, Arkansas. Burial services will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas after the church funeral.

Lynn, My prayers are with you and your families. I worked at the bank in Parkin with Patsy. We played cards together, went to Goldsmiths in Memphis to get more shoes. What a great sweet person she was. She was one of the best friends I ever had. She reminds me so much of her Mother. She was a dear lady. I will also remember her and her chocolate. She loved it so much. Good beautiful memories and I know she will be missed.

Lynn & Family,
I loved Patsy, she always made my sides hurt when I laughed at her constant antics and remarks. I enjoyed working with her at Riceland all those years ago. I know Patsy has already greeted everyone of her friends, as she was crossing into Heaven.
You have a beautiful family Lynn, cherish every minute.
I love you and will keep you in my thoughts & prayers.

Patsy, You will be missed by so many people because you touched so many. The day my mother moved in across the street from you, we felt very welcome by you. My mother thought the world of you and you were always looking out for her for me. I deeply appreciated it. I always miss our talks that we had in the yard, almost every day. I can't believe you are gone a couple of weeks after we talked, but I am so glad that I picked up the phone to call you. Love to you Angel Lady and I know my mom has seen you already!!! Prayers to your family.

Our prayers & love go to your family, you left so many good fun memories for them! Your classmates are so thankful & blessed to have spent a wonderful time with you recently . You lived life to the fullest , were always "yourself" & love hard, laughed hard & spoke boldly of your faith! Still cannot comprehend what has happened --We will miss you so much BUT you will NEVER be forgotten!
