Lynda Rainwater Black, age 68, of Van Buren passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. She was born September 8, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Wallace Graham Rainwater and Waneve Scott Rainwater.

She was a faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. She will be missed, but her legacy will continue on through the many people who loved and cared for her.

Lynda is preceded in death by her parents; her uncle, J.A. Rainwater; and one aunt, Joann Rainwater.

Surviving her is her husband, Terry Black of Van Buren; her sons, Ryan C. Black and Joshua E. Black, both of Little Rock; one sister, Donna Chapman of Springdale; her cousins, Lou Ann Cagle of Van Buren, Larry J. Rainwater of Muldrow, Oklahoma; and many other extended family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 Rodney Parham Rd. Little Rock.

Dear Terry, Ryan and Josh, my thoughts, prayers and love are with you as you grieve the loss of your wife and your mother. I feel so blessed that I had the privilege of knowing Lynda. She always made me smile.

Terry, Ryan and Josh, you have our deepest sympathy. Our hearts break for you and the loss of your beloved Lynda, wife and mother. We will remember the beautiful welcoming smile Lynda so easily shared and the beaming pride she so often expressed for her boys.
