of Mountain View, AR
March 17, 1941 - September 19, 2019
Maxey D. Stigall was born in Batesville, Arkansas, on March 17, 1941, to Nellie Faye Maxey Stigall and Robert Lee Stigall. He entered into rest in Mountain Home, Arkansas, Thursday, September 19, 2019, after surgery and consequences of emphysema. He died as he wanted, free of machines.
Maxey was preceded in death by his mother and father and leaves behind his wife Mary Partee Stigall, of the home, and daughter Cynthia Faye Stigall, educator, and a first cousin Maxey Lee Stigall Brown, and many friends.
Maxey graduated from Mountain View High School, attended two years of college, and finally chose to pursue a degree in automotive mechanics, a love which he would spend the rest of his life pursuing. In addition, Maxey joined the Air Force National Guard, again focusing on vehicle mechanics, and spent time serving in Vietnam. Maxey also enjoyed the farm life and raising various animals, including peacocks and raccoons, and being surrounded by various dogs, including his favorite buddy, Lady the Golden Retriever.
Maxey will be remembered for his ''best sense of humor'' as many of his co-workers remarked to family, for his love of telling stories, and for his loyalty.
Mary, RL and I are so sorry to hear of Maxey's passing. RL worked with him at Lackey Motor Company several years ago and they really enjoyed joking around and having a good working relationship. You and Cindy are in our prayers.
I have always liked Maxey and my family and I was good friends with his Mom and Dad, Lee and Faye Stigall.
