Sarah Beth and my husband's mother, Marjorie Allen Bishop, were friends when they both attended Ouachita Baptist College at Arkadelphia in the early forties. That friendship continued through their long lives, and there is no telling how many letters they wrote to each other. It only stopped when Marjorie died in 2016. Then her daughter, also named Margie, and I took up the job (really a pleasure) of writing to Sarah Beth. Sarah Beth's letters were lively and interesting, sometimes funny. She was young for her years, for certain.
She wrote neatly on lined notepaper she had decorated with pictures of flowers, trees, birds, etc. that she cut from magazines and glued on. I have saved every letter she wrote me and today I found four of her letters to her friend, Marjorie. There aren't many letter writers in our world today. Sarah was an expert.

I am a cousin as well. Sarah Beth was a very sweet lady, and was very prim and proper. I use to go to their house a lot growing up. I remember that she would host a lot of parties, and everything was just perfect. She will be missed and she is in heaven with her husband now.

I did not know Mrs. Sarah Beth Harp.
She touched my family when my Daughter in heart, Lauren Paige Anderson Clark, was taking way to early in this life.
She sent flowers and I have never forgotten the kind gesture.
She must have been a fine Lady.
Thoughts and Prayers to her family.

Sincerely
Jean S. Clark
