Doris L. ''Dottie'' Wells Brock went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 3, 2019. She was born in Little Rock on January 9, 1934, to the late Julian and Nobie Wells. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, John M. Brock and her sister Marie Wells Alford.
Dottie attended schools in Texarkana, Arkansas and graduated from Little Rock High School. Dottie made lifelong friends from both cities. As a young lady, Dottie attended First Baptist Church in Little Rock and made many friends there, including her soon to be husband, John.
She was an active member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed being involved in activities of the church. Her loves were her Lord, her family, and her extended church family.
She is survived by two sons; David A. Brock (Joanne) of Birmingham, Alabama, John ''Rusty'' Brock of Little Rock, her loving daughter; Lori Smith (Jerry) of Hensley, Arkansas, grandchildren; Gary A. Smith of Cedar Park, Texas, Leigh Anne Adams, Christopher D. Brock (Natalie) of Birmingham, Alabama and John Smith of Hensley, Arkansas. The family would like to send a special thanks to Baptist Hospice for the loving care they extended to their family.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 11 am 12 pm in the chapel of Roller Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, with Funeral Services starting at noon.
Lori I’m sorry I can’t make your precious mom’s funeral. I know what it’s like to lose a mom and my heartfelt prayers are with you and your family.
Your mom was so lovely and is now dancing around The Lord’s Throne rejoicing.

I had the pleasure of taking care of my sweet Dottie at good Shepard nursing and rehabilitation she is very loved and will be missed I am going to miss those little snickers and the laughter I love you Dottie prayers for the family she was definitely amazing
I Send sympathy and prayers for your loss. Even with a long and love filled life it’s still hard to say goodbye to mama.Mrs Dottie was always so friendly and faithful to each service before her health declined. The angels rejoiced.
