Marcita Etheridge, 81, of Weiner, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Bernards Hospital. She was born June 7, 1938 in the family home in Poinsett County AR to Cleo "Speedy" and Bertie (Reid) Edwards. Mrs. Etheridge worked in interior design and insurance. She was a lifelong member of Weiner First Baptist Church, but in her later years she also attended Weiner 1St Assembly of God. She loved lawn and gardening, and most of all, being with her grandkids and great grandkids. Marcita's family and friends are comforted in knowing of her salvation and love of the lord. She is now whole again in body and mind and with our lord in Heaven.

Mrs. Etheridge was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth Guffey and J.W. Guffey; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Guffey.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Etheridge; son, Randy Hogue, step-son, Mac Etheridge; daughters, Rona Hatcher and Marcie (Randon) Cooper; seven grandchildren, Ace (Jessica) Cooper, Lauren Hogue, Kaylyn Hogue, Collin (Darby) Cooper, Jordan Hatcher, Nicholas Hatcher and Conner Hogue; two great grandchildren, Asher Haring and Miles Cooper; a sister-in-law, Betty Guffey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Weiner 1st Baptist Church will host a Luncheon of Sympathy and Fellowship for the family to honor their memory of Marcita at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2019.

This will be followed by an informal Memorial Reminiscence of Marcita's life in the church fellowship hall from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, which all friends of the family are welcome to attend.
