Kim and I both taught math at Carl Stuart Middle School. She was always a joy to work with as we planned our units. I was very sad to hear she was sick but I was very certain she would be with the Lord and be healed. I will continue to pray for Greg, Hailey, Reed and her parents. I know God will comfort each person in her life.

Dearest Hughes Family, due to the generosity of Ladycat Volleyball we were brought together for an event that changed all our lives. One highlight of the event was meeting and getting to know Kim. She was beautiful, kind and so very faithful. She was brave in her battle and a soldier for god every step of the way. She prayed for our son and for our family amidst her own struggles. It has been an absolute privilege knowing your wife, your mother, your daughter, your sister. May the lord give you everything you need to get through this enormous loss. We will be praying.

Greg, Reed and Hailey,
Your mom was a great blessing to me in my life. She was one of a very few people I know who lived her best life all the time. She was funny, faithful and full of love for us all. She could gripe too, but she always chastised herself and didn't get too carried away unlike most of us when we want to complain. Before I really knew her, I always loved seeing her and Jacob in a workshop because they loved math and they were such a hoot together. She was so smart and thoughtful, yet never felt like an expert or like we should all want to hear what she had to say. We knew better. I would not have enjoyed my life over the last 15 years nearly as much without her. I hope you are able to let the time you had always bring strength, even though grief may make you feel weak. It is ok to be joyous in the knowledge of her true salvation in Jesus, and still feel really sorry for yourself and your loss. Love to you guys.
