Howard Wayne Anderson, 96, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, July 27, 2019. He was born April 21, 1923 in Freeborn, Minnesota to the late Elmer and Alvina (Klaven) Anderson.

He graduated Newton High School in Newton, Iowa in 1942. He loved rebuilding old cars and designed numerous farm implements. He worked for Maytag as a Senior Engineer, where he designed and installed assembly lines. During his retired years he designed an inoculation system for young chickens. He lived in Clinton for 38 years after retiring from Maytag in the mid 1970's. He also designed and built his and his wife's home on Greers Ferry Lake in 1981. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clinton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Roberta Anderson, and a daughter, Linda Mulbrook.

He is survived by his son, Tommy (Sharon) Anderson, four grandchildren; David of Florida, Darrin of Alaska, Nicole of Arkansas, and Melinda of Illinois, and six great-grandchildren; Kira, Taylor, Ian, Penelope, Leluminaï, and Johnathan.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.

I have had you family much on my mind these last few weeks and wondering what happened to Bert and Howard. I did so love having them as neighbors across the street in Newton. Know that memories live on for them in people like me.
