I served in the Air Force.
Stephen Dale ForweI am a Veteran.

January 11, 1968 - July 18, 2019

Stephen Dale Forwe, 51, of Benton, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born January 11, 1968 in Harrisburg, Illinois, to James Edward Forwe and Carlene Rawhoof Mitchell.

Steve had a near 20-year career with Little Rock's Dassault Falcon Jet where his most recent position was Flight Delivery Specialist. Steve was also a retired Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force where he served in the role of Tactical Aircraft Maintenance and crew chief for the F15 fighter jet, Journeyman, and computer networking and cryptographic systems design. Steve honorably served his country in multiple Persian Gulf and Kuwaiti operations receiving numerous notable commendations during his military career. He was also known for being everyone's friend and always being available to be a listening ear and devoted confidant whenever anyone needed it. He always looked forward to fishing trips with his dad and was dedicated to his mother's care in her later years. His life revolved around his family, all things aviation and technical, and NASCAR. You could find Stephen watching NASCAR pretty much any time it was on, and his eyes never left Mark Martin. He enjoyed family outings of many varieties and bar-be-queuing and smoking meats, which always impressed those who got to enjoy his finished products. Steve continued to enjoy all-things computer and tech-related and was proudly ''IT Support'' for many of his family and friends. His hobbies included the occasional game of golf, men's softball, and video-gaming with the kids. Playing jokes on those he loved (and his pets) was a tell-tale sign of his love of good humor and comedy. The military shaped him into a man that was remarkably admired, punctual, tech-savvy, dependable and compassionate. He will be greatly missed as he left us too soon, but his memory and legacy will be forever cherished and carried on by those who loved and cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving him are his sons, Colby Quinn Forwe and JonDavid Person; his daughters, Ashley Nichole Forwe and Carlee Marie Forwe; one brother, James Michael Forwe of Morganfield, KY; three aunts, Cora Parker of Rockford, IL; Wilma Barnes of Harrisburg, IL; Catherine Butler of Beloit, WI; a cousin, Eric Morrison of Morrilton, AR; and many other extended family members and friends.

A Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton, with Pastor Edd Spurlock officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

I had only recently been acquainted with Steve during the delivery of our new Falcon in September of 2018. Since then I had a chance to interact with him a few times and after reading what other have written along with his obituary I came away with the same opinions of Steve. Always willing to help and easy to talk with. Peace to you, your family, and friends.

My heart aches for a wonderful & caring young man, who is gone way too soon. Steve ALWAYS had a smile for everyone and a helping hand in all areas. I will remember forever, His kind and soft voice and those big "bear hugs" when we saw each other.
May God be with his children & family during the days to come with peace & comfort. Steve will be missed so very much by all who knew him, especially his Falcon Jet family & friends. Prayers and God Bless You.

My dear friend. I’m at a loss. You were such a good person and my heart aches for you, Carley, Colby, and your family. I walked Harry today and as usual he went straight to your apartment. He wouldn’t leave - it was weird. I had to pick him up and carry him home. I love you and I can’t believe you are gone!
