Michael Snyder, age 59 of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at his home. Mr. Snyder was born December 23, 1959 to Patsy James Snyder and the late Ovie Melvin Snyder.
He was of the Baptist faith and worked many years as a mechanic.
He is survived by his spouse, Sandra Kaye Freeman Snyder; two sons, Michael Richard Snyder, JR. (Lorry) of Austin, Texas and PFC Christian Michael Snyder (Deven Malone) of Dewitt, Arkansas; two daughters, Krystal Michelle Nelson (David) of Outer Bank, North Carolina and Betsy Jane Snyder (Paul Dilks) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Zachary Cade Snyder, Carter Preston Goss, Aiden Michael Snyder, Delilah Jane Dilks; one brother, Timothy Snyder (Leslie) of Lexa, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ovie Melvin Snyder; his grandparents, O.M. Snyder, Agnes Snyder, C.M. James and Inez James.
The funeral service for Michael Snyder will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 2nd Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Joe Garner will officiate.
Pallbearers are Bill Haynie, Jeff Steele, Jimmy Haynes, Wild Bill Thomas, Johnny Ragsdale, Murrell McCullough, George Bostock, Tommy Light, and A.L. Latting.
Honorary Pallbearers are, Leslie Chin, Jimmy Harcourt, Helena- West Helena Police Department, Phillips County Sheriff Department.
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Humane Society of The Delta or Meals on Wheels in Helena-West Helena in honor of Mike Snyder.
