Donald ''Don'' Lee Smith, 78 of Clarksville, AR., passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at Little Rock; AR. Don was born May 4, 1941 in Clarksville, AR to B Smith & Lily (Syfert) Smith. On Saturday nights Don enjoyed going to the horse sales, he was well loved in our horse community. Don was known as the ''Gaited Horse King'' by many, he traded horses and enjoyed to whittle. Don's true passion was his family; a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. Don did not give advice unless he was asked for it, when he did , he spoke with well thought words to get his family on the right path.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Michael Smith and Chance Butchner; two brothers: James Smith and Roland Davis; and three sisters: Betty Bramel, Emma Freeman, and Anna Bean.
Don is survived by his spouse of 35 years Deloris (Rye) Smith of Clarksville, AR; daughters: Rolana Havener of Little Rock, AR. and Chanda and Jonathan Wisdom of Van Buren; one son, Tim and Cheryl Smith of Lamar; daughter in-law Amber Butchner of Altus, AR.; grandchildren: Tona Castillo, Miranda Elder, Chelsey Butchner, Carter Wisdom, Jessica Hampton, Derek Smith, Colton Smith, Devan Bauer, Makayla Smith and Wyatt Butchner; great grandchildren: Seth Castillo, Aiden Castillo, Ava Castillo, Keith Elder, Kira Elder, Ayla Smith, Tommy Kimberling, and Reed Hampton; three brother: Jack, Johnny and Gary Smith; one sister Peggy Corlew.
Visitation will be 2:00 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, July 15, 2019 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Power. Burial will follow in the Stilwell Cemetery. Aaron Ring, Wayne Smith, B.J. Smith, Kevin Freeman, Philip Corlew, Johnny Willis, and Bradley Williams serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Pitts, Gary Thompson, Bob Weathers, Donal Sams, Jack Young, Dwaine Langdon, Jody Copper, and Gary Pierce.

I knew Don and his family for many years but really got to know him working at Singer. He was my supervisor for a while out there and was a good boss, and a good friend! He will be missed by many, my condolences to the family!
