Virgil M. Brown was born on August 14, 1944 in Paris, Arkansas to the late Sam and Mary Brown.
He made his transitional journey on July 6, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas following a long term illness.
Virgil was a devoted father and grandfather, including a beloved friend to all those who knew him.
He is a retiree of Tyson Foods and a member of Poole's Temple. His hobbies were playing dominos, fishing, westerns and being a prankster with family and friends.
Virgil is preceded in death by longtime companion Deltha Marie Richards, and a total of six siblings; Sam Brown Jr., Robert Brown, Charles Brown, Bobby Jones, Betty Martin, Bernice Bates and Anna Marie Barnes.
Left to celebrate his life are six children, Marlyn Bates, Barbara Cole, Ricky Richards, Milton Richards, Aden Richards, Melvin Richards; his sisters, Mary Ellingburg, Wanda Byrd, Nora Milum, Phyllis Brown and Margret Williams; brothers, Eddie E. Brown, Dennis Brown, Leonard Brown, June R. Brown and Jessie Brown; 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. proceeding into the homegoing service that will start at 2:00 p.m.. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in Gray Rock Cemetery.
