Inez Burch Hurst passed away at home with family on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at age 98. She was born May 10, 1921, to Henry and Ollie (Wooton) Burch.
At the age of 15, her mother died, and she helped raise her siblings. She married Lealon Hurst on June 22, 1940, and they enjoyed 71 years of marriage before Lealon's passing on November 12, 2011. She was a lifelong Flippin resident and a graduate from Flippin High School. Inez and Lealon had a family farm on Crooked Creek where she demonstrated her value of hard work, working alongside him on the farm.
She also worked for Mar Bax Shirt Factory and Baxter Lab. She was a member of Cotter Church of Christ and was always in attendance, never missing except for illness. Inez was a wonderful Christian example to all who knew her. She loved deeply and was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Inez is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Shot) Henry and Lavonne (Ron) Davenport, both of Flippin; four grandchildren, Dwight Henry, Ritina (Ron) Pacheco, Anthony (Shannon) Davenport, and Katresa (Tim) Harris; 11 great grandchildren, Kristal (Brad) Burns, Meagan (Eric) Thitoff, Devin, Calvin, and Carlin Henry, Thomas and Taylor (Hailey) Pacheco, Justin (Brooke) and Kendra Harris, Garrett and Emily Davenport; seven great great grandchildren, Ethan and Owen James, Brayden and Jackson Burns, Tayshaun and Ayleigh Henry, and Aubrey Thitoff.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lealon, her parents, brothers Lonnie Burch and Bill Burch, and sister Leone Hudson.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday, June 28, 2019 at Roller Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas. Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Roller Burns Funeral Home with Brother Bill Dillon officiating.
Interment will follow at Hurst Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Anthony Davenport, Devin Henry, Calvin Henry, Carlin Henry, Justin Harris, and Garrett Davenport. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Bates, EJ Weatherford, Howard Campbell, and Jacky Holmes.

We feel privileged to have known Inez. She was such a good example to all of us young and old. Inez was determined to worship God every Sunday with her Christian brothers and sisters if she could get to the building.
Inez loved children and they loved her.
We will look forward to being united with her in that home in Heaven where she is waiting .
