Sorry to hear about Mr Fulmer passing away. He always was a gentleman when I saw him. Spoke with a kind pleasant voice.

Always thought of him as an example of what we all should try to be.

Thoughts and prayers for the family.

He was the first person to make me stand in front of a congregation and lead singing. It was at Bethany Church, and I was eight years old.

The greatest joy in my ministry was introducing him to Elder Cromer Crawford at our annual meeting at Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church in Jacksonville. They became lifelong friends, fellow yoke brethren in the service of God. I listened to them converse with one another that weekend, never interrupting except to remind them that it was time for service. It seemed as if they had always known one another.

I appreciated his firm conviction to always stand for what was correct. At the risk of offending Presbyterians, I will state a remark he once asked his fellow Primitive Baptist ministers in a letter, "Are we to follow the example of the Presbyterians, or the better practice of the Baptists?" I think that sums up his philosophy very well. He believed in the Word of God, believed that the Baptists had historically held to it, promoted historical Baptist writings, and preached the gospel. He confidently believed that the historical Baptist position supported the gospel, and he was able to prove it time and again.

I will miss my dear friend and father in the ministry, but I am confident he is in a better place, and I hope to see him soon. I would love to hear the conversations he is having with Elder Cromer Crawford now!
