Jo Ann Martin, age 75, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed from this life Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was born August 22, 1943, in Harrison, Arkansas, the daughter of Brice and Bertha (Cantrell) Norvell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Bill Martin; her brothers, Milford Norvell and T. J. Norvell; and her sister, Doris Jean Huisenga.

Jo Ann attended Woodland Heights Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them hunting, fishing, camping, and riding four wheelers. Her infectious laugh and constant joking brought joy to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Ken Martin, of the home; her sons, Wayne Hogue and wife Trisha of Harrison, Arkansas and Randy Martin and wife Cathy of Harrison, Arkansas; her daughters, Lea Ann Keeton and husband Bobby of Jasper, Arkansas, Cindy Durand and husband Dave of Harrison, Arkansas, and Kim Wade and husband Chris of Harrison, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren, Brandon Keeton of Dennard, Arkansas, Blake Keeton of Hasty, Arkansas, Addie Martin, Brice Martin, Dillon Hogue and Dalton Hogue, all of Harrison, Danielle Dengler of Farmington, Arkansas, Tave Martin of Maumelle, Arkansas, Taylor Martin of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Nathan Durand of Boston, Massachusetts and Morgan, Maddigan, and Bentley Wade, all of Harrison, and Chris Michie of Manassas, Virginia; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.


Visitation was Monday, June 24, 2019, from 6 - 8 PM at Woodland Heights Baptist Church.

Funeral service was 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Woodland Heights Baptist Church, with Heath Kirkpatrick and Mike Moore officiating.

Interment was at Milam Cemetery, Silver Valley Road, Harrison, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were Jerry Norvell, Chris Norvell, Randy Allred, Gerald Martin, David Rogers, and Cameron Rogers.

Honorary pallbearers were Jim Dixon, Eddie Farmer, Ademar Nuessner, Ronald Collins, Lester Ward, and Joe Rogers.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Zoo Church, 12173 Highway 65 N, Dennard, Arkansas 72629.

I often thought of JoAnn and our time working together. She was so much fun to work with and loved meeting her family. I'm Just so sorry we lost touch. My thoughts and prayer are with Ken and the rest of the family. God Bless.
