Albert Franklin Thompson, Jr., 82, of Round Lake Beach, Illinois passed away on June 4, 2019 in Mountain View, Arkansas. Albert, Jr. was born on June 6, 1936 in Savannah, Illinois to the late Albert Franklin Thompson, Sr. and Myrtle Stubbs Thompson. Albert was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a cab driver in the latter part of his life, a job his family said he enjoyed immensely.
Albert, Jr. is survived by his daughters, Mary Lue Gerharz and Betty Fay Tholl; one sister, Fay Sanders; twelve grandchildren, Jennie Bubloni, Michael Thompson, Heidi Spaw, James Thompson, Heather Hatfield, Jeremy Thompson, Kyle Tholl, James Thompson, James Tholl, Ryan Tholl, Ryan Thompson, and Justin Thompson; nine great-grandchildren and a host of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Albert, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Franklin Thompson, Sr. and Myrtle Stubbs Thompson; his wife, Mary Jane Thompson; two sons, Jesse Lee Thompson and Albert Thompson III.
Visitation for Albert, Jr. is Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 10:00-11:00 AM at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the funeral service at Lighthouse Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ryan Tholl, Ryan Thompson, Kyle Tholl, and Justin Thompson.
