A tear, a smile, soft words of "I love you" and the consummate "Granny" bids us goodbye for now. She passes from this world to heaven holding the hand of her beloved husband who reaches through the mist for her. She will greet the ones that had gone before her, and the homecoming will be grand. Her joy is bittersweet for us, we miss her so, but we know in our hearts that this is where she wants to be.
For Jane and Deborah, it is the separation of our precious, protective, loving mother. She was Granny for the rest of the world. Granny was fiercely protective, kind, funny, loving and imparted words of wisdom to live by. She loved all children and animals and reached out to both with warm snugly arms and a something sweet for them to eat. Granny bore a torch for all injustice and would express an opinion if asked.
We will all miss her. She will be remembered through those words of kindness and wisdom. She will be remembered through each act of tenderness and love. She touched each of us in a special way.
Finally, CHOCOLATE - smile and think of Granny. Goodbye for now, Granny. We love you.
I am sorry for your loss. Mrs. Lewis was a kind and loving woman who will be greatly missed. My prayers are with the family
I am so sorry! I loved your mom so much! Y’all are like my second family and I am so thankful for that!
I love you girls!

Aw, what a special lady she was! I still remember how she always made us girls take a dime with us when we were teenagers so we could call if we needed to. I always felt so loved and at home there. She was definitely a bright spot in this world! â¤ï¸
