Moses Horne, 76, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away in Benton, Arkansas Friday, May 17, 2019. He was born March 10, 1943 in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Annie and Walter Horne, Sr. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Joby Horne, and sister, Anne Horne.
Moses was a member of Nations Ford Community Church where he served as an usher and sang in the men's choir. He spent most of his working life as a truck driver, and spent many years driving a bus for the Charlotte Transit.
Survivors include his two sons, Anthony Horne of Charlotte, NC and Troy Horne and wife, Elizabeth of Highlands Ranch, CO; two daughters, Balissa Youngblood and husband, Steve of Collierville, TN, and Aronika Young and husband, Charlie of Jacksonville, AR; two brothers, Walter Horne Jr. of NC and Jasper Horne of NC; sister, Texie Horne-Bullard of NC; eight grandchildren, Steven Youngblood II, Brendan Youngblood, Moses W. Horne, Hunter Youngblood, Harrisann Youngblood, Silas Horne, Sawyer Youngblood, and Cordelia Horne; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Alcoa Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation of Benton and Arkansas Hospice for their care and support.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
