Alvin Dale Bolen, age 65 of Bear Creek, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 11th, 1953 to Alvin ''Buster'' Bolen and Wanda L. Bolen.

Alvin was a man of many talents and held many titles during his working career. He began by doing odd jobs and farm jobs in and around the county. He attended college and became a drug and rehabilitation counselor in the Memphis area. He also spent some time as a drywaller. In the 1980's, Alvin was the fourth best airbrush artist in the United States, specializing in motorcycles, vans, race cars and t-shirts. He used his airbrush talents to paint the tour buses for Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffett. Alvin worked as a city and county deputy for close to 26 years in Searcy County and other surrounding counties. His job titles were many and the memories he shared were colorful and vivid. Those memories shared by this hardworking, wise man will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Survivors include two children, Austin (Tori Herzberg) Bolen and Wanda (David) Rains, all of Bear Creek. Alvin is preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Wanda Bolen.

Cremation services are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Alvin will be laid to rest in the Dongola Cemetery beside his mother. No official services are planned at this time. Alvin's wish was for friends to stop by the cemetery from time to time and leave a pleasant thought.

I’m going to miss your posts on Facebook, you have made me laugh a lot over the last few years. You and me seem to have Avery similar twisted sense of humor. I’m sure you’ll be laughing it up beyond those pearly gates with so many friends and family who went before you and you’ll be ready to greet those who follow after.

I have so many memories of him. From him teaching me airbrush techniques to sharing gunsmithing knowledge, and us both being amputees sharing stories with each other. He always had a way to inject humor into any situation. One of the good ones, for sure. Prayers for everyone he leaves behind.
