Ewell Gene Magby, 100, of Clarksville, AR died April 27, 2019 at Fayetteville, AR. He was born October 16, 1918 in Johnson County.
He was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church, and a retired Timberman and employee of Henderson Mine in Kremmling, CO. Ewell was a Veteran of WWII, serving in an infantry division in Europe.
He was the son of the late Willie G. Magby and Lilly M. Magby. He was preceded in death by his wife (of 62 years) Jane Gossett Magby, two sons Charles Arlys Magby and Gary Don Magby, one daughter Linda Lee Magby, five sisters Linnie, Cora, Jewell, Pearl and Ruby and seven brothers Sam, Lee, Loyd, Arthur, Edgar, Walter and Carl.
Survivors include three sons; Arden Magby of Marlow, OK, David Magby of Clarksville, AR and John Magby of Wilson, OK; three daughters Jo Rothrock of Fayetteville, AR, Jean Landis of Grand Junction, CO and Glenda Grossman of Denver, CO and one brother Hanford Magby of Greenville, IN. He has 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Batson, AR with Arden Magby officiating.
