Gaylee (Dawson) Spurlock, 86, of Ash Flat passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
She was born on December 30, 1932 in Center, Arkansas to Homer A. Dawson and Gertha (Osborne) Dawson.
She was the former owner of The White Owl restaurant in Evening Shade; she was an amazing cook and enjoyed canning for her family and working in her garden she also liked to sew and crochet.
Survivors include her two sons, Borden Spurlock (Belinda) of Ash Flat and Homer Spurlock (Brandy) of Weiner; two daughters, Pam Yates (Jim) of Hardy and Drexene Winey (Dale) of San Angelo, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Drexel Borden Spurlock; one grandchild, Summer Spurlock; two sisters; and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Yates, Bud Spurlock, Nathan Winey, Ben Schroeder, Joseph Spurlock, and Adam Spurlock. Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Spurlock, Sam Scott, and Michael Orosz.
Graveside services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2019 at Center Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home with James Goodman officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday prior to service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
