Nelta L. Armer, age 93, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. Nelta was born in Girard, Texas on November 1, 1925, to the late Gaston and Jewell (Martin) Laird. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Darlene Armer; her son, Ronald Byrd; and her brother, Norman Laird.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Nelta is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Troy Edwards, of Shallow Water, Texas; her grandchildren and their spouses, Allen and Karen Armer of Compton, Arkansas, Ricky and Raylene Armer of Fordland, Missouri, and Shannon and Vanessa Gibbins of Compton, Arkansas; her great-grandchildren, Stephenia Armer, Lacy Armer, Erik Armer, Jessica Armer, Evan Gibbins, Kevin Gibbins, and Shayna Gibbins; nine great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.


Graveside service was 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Plumlee Cemetery.
