Billie June Jones, 92, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born June 26, 1926 in May TX. To Cleve and Ruth (Merrell) Edgar. Billie June was a retired school teacher, and was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She loved gardening and sewing.
Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bernice Atherton, Vernice Prickett and Alta Carroll; brothers, Alfred, Clint, George, Quincy, GW and Jerrell Edgar.
Survivors include a brother, Garfield Edgar; niece, Linda Deen of Blanket, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 20, 2019, 10:00 am, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, with Tommy Herndon officiating. Burial will be at Bishop Cemetery at a later date.
