Danny M. Eidson, 67, of Shirley, Arkansas passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. He was born October 11, 1951 in Greenville, Mississippi.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Wood; his mother and step-father, Clara and Jerry Huie; a half-sister, Mary Ellen Eidson; a cousin, Toney (Sherry) Antrim and family; and many friends. Preceding him in death were his father, Bill Eidson; a half-brother, Earl Eidson ; and his maternal grandmother Mae McCullar.
Dan graduated from Fuller High School in Little Rock in 1969 and then enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country from 1970 to 1974. He later used his Navy training in communications working on civilian contracts in the Marshall Islands for 3 years and in Hawaii for 20 years. He was also an air-traffic controller for the Pacific Rim out of Honolulu for 13 years. During this time he studied Tai Chi and guitar and deeply immersed himself in native Hawaiian culture. He also took courses in hypnotherapy, and received his Doctor of Hypnotherapy degree.
After his move back to Arkansas, he became a licensed massage therapist and set up a practice in Clinton. He was a Tai Chi and guitar instructor for the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center, and also taught Tai Chi classes at the Hart Center, Fairfield Bay Senior Center, and in Alread. He played many genres of guitar music including Hawaiian slack key, blues, jazz and flamenco and performed at several venues in the county.
Memorials may be made to the Van Buren County Literacy Council, P.O. Box 897, Clinton, AR 72031. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 2:00 PM at the Clinton Senior Center.

I always remember Danny being smart, soft spoken, fun outggoing guy. We have gotten closer since our 45th reunion. I stayed in touch with him checking on his health and we shared the love of music. I will miss him.
