I was blessed to know Oleta for many years. We were in choir together at First Baptist Church in Searcy. Later, we worked closely together as counselors at Bald Knob. I was in elementary when she worked in middle school and, later, high school. Goleta always had a smile for everyone. She was a gracious and kind person. She will be missed,

I was a student at Searcy High School (Class of 1983) and took as many classes that Mrs. (Vandiver) King taught as I possible could. She taught me so much more than Home Economics. She taught me to be an adult, how to run a household, and how to show grace under pressure. She was my favorite teacher and I will never forget her. I am a better woman for having known her and sat under her teaching. May God hold her family in His might hands of peace and comfort during this time of mourning.
