Jerry M. Scott, 75, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Community Compassion Center of Batesville. Jerry was born on December 7, 1943 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Marlin D. and Elsie (Severs) Scott. Jerry graduated in 1961 and went on to serve his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of White Water Missionary Baptist Church and was a gifted musician who could not only play by ear but also taught himself any musical instrument he picked up. Jerry will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Elsie (Severs) Scott of Batesville, Arkansas; two brothers, Vernon Scott and wife Joyce and Daniel Scott and wife Bonnie all of Batesville, Arkansas and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Marlin D. Scott.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 9, 2019, 1:00-2:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM with Brothers Gary Don Fletcher and Phil Sutton officiating. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery on Ben Road in Drasco, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Mark Scott, Austin Scott, Mike Severs, Barry Storey, Gary Scott, Kevin Mitchell, John Severs and Jeff Scott. Honorary pallbearers are his classmates of 1961, Jimmy Mitchell, Staff at Community Compassion Center of Batesville, and the members of White Water Missionary Baptist Church.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

So very sorry for your loss. Jerry spent many hours playing music in our home he always had a smile. He visited my folks several times after returning home from the Army. Prayers to you all
