Opal Hickman, 90, of Cash, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019, at Lakeside Nursing Center. She was born in Leachville, November 14, 1928, to Rufus and Nora Blasingame.
She was of the Baptist faith and was active in community activities including Senior Citizens Center. Opal enjoyed going to church, reading her Bible and doing word searches.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband of 49 years, Utah Eugene Hickman; daughters, Brenda Hickman and Eugenia Edge; sons, Ricky and Samuel Hickman; grandson, Danny Edge; two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors are a son, Jim (Cathy) Hickman; daughters, Lorrie Hunter, Sue (Frank) Edwards, Mary Ellis and Jeanne (John) Garrett; grandchildren, Alice, Hank, Shannon, Shawnna, Samantha, Jacob, John and Josh; great grandchildren, Nate, Tyler, Macy, Dylan, Cameron, Dream, Kendra, Eli, Kaylie, Harley and Paxton; great-great grandchildren, Tyson and Makinley, sister-in-law, Norma Lee Blasingame.
There will be a graveside funeral service Monday, April 1, at 10:00am, at Holloway Cemetery, with Ken Beaver officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, Sunday, March 31 from 5:00pm '''' 7:00pm.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff and adoptive daughters from Lakeside Nursing Center, Candice, Natalie, Spring, Meghan, Tracy, Gail and Latasha.
So sorry to read about Mrs Opals passing....I worked with her at Joyce's Cafe, in Cash....she was a beautiful Christian woman, who sure did love her Lord!Go Rest High Mrs. Opal!
