Michael Patrick Taylor, Sr., 73, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2019.
Mike, also known as ''Precious'' by his close friends, was one of seven children born to CWO Johnny and Patricia Taylor. He spent his youth in Germany where he attended Mannheim American High School, but graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Walls, Mississippi. Michael joined the Air Force and obtained the rank of SGT before he was honorably discharged. He was employed as an industrial machinist at Firestone, International Harvester and Trinity Inc. After his retirement he was employed at Bally's Casino as a security officer. Mike never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting new people. He loved fishing and was an avid golfer. He also was an active member of the VFW Post 5225 in West Memphis.
Survivors include his two daughters, Ann Taylor of Jacksonville, Florida and Tina and Clete Blankenship of Somerville, Alabama; one son, Michael Patrick Taylor, Jr. with wife Lane and only grandson, Wyatt James Taylor of Houston, Texas; brothers, John Richard Taylor, David Arthur Taylor and Mark Edward Taylor; sisters, Susan Ann Fair and Patricia Elizabeth Carver; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. All will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Margaret Mary Taylor and his companion, Gene Brown.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. The funeral service will start at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas. Family and friends are invited to gather at the VFW 406 S Avalon St, West Memphis immediately after the interment.

Mike was always a great person to be around. I met him when I played golf with my stepdad and grandfather playing at Pine Hill. He will be greatly missed.
