Jackie Hester, 59, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2019. Her loved ones are thankful for the blessed assurance in Jesus that provides great peace and comfort.
She was born on June 3, 1959 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Jackie is survived by her father, John Hester of Searcy; her son Wes Hardin of Heber Springs; daughter, Nesha Smith (Chris) of Rose Bud; and her granddaughter Jalyn; along with many extended family members and good friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Hester, and her sister, Mary Brown.
Jackie attended the Searcy First PCG Church in Searcy, Arkansas.

I am sorry to hear about Jackie's tragic death. She was a good person and I have known her all her life. We grew up together and played together as kids. She was sweet and caring.

I have many happy memories of playing softball with Jackie, an being around her mom Johnnie! They were both great ladies there anytime you needed them, we played on PDB EXPRESS together she was a great player we were playing for Shotgun Dans when Nesha was a baby I have pictures of me holding her! You absolutely couldn't bet Jackie as a friend! She will be greatly missed, but will be looking down on us with love. To her family she will always be in your hearts an memories! Rest in love Jackie

I was deeply saddened to hear of Jackie's passing. She and I played softball against and with one another "back in the day." No words can adequately express how terribly sad I am for her and her family. She was such a fun , sweet, kind person to be around. Prayers, hugs and love to all who loved her!

I have so many fond memories of my sweet Aunt Jackie. Jackie loved all things outdoors. She loved fishing, thrift store shopping, her family and most of all the Lord. When I think of Jackie, I instinctively think of her unconditional love she expressed for her family and others. Always putting others before herself and caring with endless love, Jackie knew exactly what to say or do to bring a smile to your face. Countless occasions throughout my life she was there for me open heartily. From the time she welcomed my Mom and I into her home when we had nowhere to go – to being there with my precious Mom when she was ill. You could always count on Jackie, she was always there. I am forever grateful for my Aunt. She taught me how to love compassionately and to be selfless, through her love for myself and others. I am a better person because of Jackie. She will never be forgotten. I know she is in Heaven now, rejoicing with the Lord and celebrating with my beloved Meme and my precious Mom.
