Gary O. Fairbanks, 62, a resident of Paris passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.
He was born August 15, 1956, in Paris to the late Granville and Betty (Phillips) Fairbanks. Gary married Sheila (Jones) Fairbanks on May 20, 1988, in Paris. He spent his working years as a mason.
In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Young and Dianne Easley and a brother, Paul Don Fairbanks.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sheila Fairbanks of Paris; three sons, Gary Don Fairbanks and wife, Terri of Paris, Steve White and wife, Kim of Barling and Bryan Rogers and wife, Leslie of Paris; two daughters, Elisha Fairbanks of Paris and Elizabeth Standring and husband, Edward of Van Buren; a daughter by choice, Shannon Holland of McGregor, Texas; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Berneda Morris of Paris and a brother, Mark Fairbanks of Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2019, at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris with the Rev. J.H. Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Paint Rock Cemetery near Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Keith Odeal, Ron Hardesty, Jason Walker, Joe Caldwell, Danny Patterson, Mitchell Ford, Mike Stinnett and Allen Milum.

There are no words that I can find to comfort you when you have lost your best friend other than I love you.
SO sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I was born on the same day as Gary , were child hood friends on Brushy Mt. and went to grade school with him. God Bless your family.
