How can you put in one paragraph a lifetime of sacrifice and love? Her presence brought peace, joy, and comfort knowing she cared and gave more than anyone I know. She had a way of giving you all her attention each time we were together. The little and big things mattered to her. I am so very sorry for your loss. She was precious to me and many many others, and you are precious to me.
Vicky will always remain dear to our hearts and cherished in our memories forever. We will miss the Sunday afternoon phone calls, her great cooking especially those cinnamon rolls, her generosity when we came to visit and love for her family. Her kindness and acts of love reminded us so much of Kathleen, who also left this earth way too soon. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. Jim & Donna
I remember Vickie and Gary from our years at Parkview High School we had great times being the first graduating clas. Gary, so sorry for your loss! Vicki was fun to be around! Sweet memories!
I got to know Vickie through a weekly sale we both went to, we became fast friends and always a ear to listen, looked forward to the sweets she had in her car after every sale for us to eat on the way home to Missouri. How the obituary hit her perfectly, always her love for cooking was apprent in her generous gifts of food to all, and she talked of all her grandchildren every time I saw her she was so proud of them and her girls. My heart is terribly sad at the loss of a dear friend and wonderful person, God has gained another angel that is feeding everyone in heaven!
My love & prayers for your family. I remember Mrs. Cheek taking Kari & us girls from elementary to camp out. On the way back home she stopped for a turtle passing in the road & let me get out to move it out of harms way. I will never forget that. I thought what a sweet lady. I always stop for the turtles now.
Gary, Kari, Dana, Janelle and Brenda

Ms Vickie was a great lady. Can’t imagine what you are going through. She was loved by a lot of people and will be truly missed. All her family out at Sava Bundle will miss her because she was always kind to everyone.
Dear Mr. Cheek, Kari and Dana,
I have no adequate words to share how sorry I am for your loss and what a loss it is to all!!! She was such a kind, pure heart. She had a unique way of caring for the broken and making them feel loved and part of the family. When my boys were with their dad for some holidays, she included me and made me feel like part of the family. I loved the way she cared for everyone around her. I also loved the bargain shopping tips she shared with me!!! Lol I know she will live forever in all of you.
Much love,
Alli
Vickie was such an angel and welcomed our little family into your home and treated us like a part of the family every time yall were in Romance while we were there. She was sweet, kind and had such a giving spirit. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts are with your family and especially those sweet babies that she adored.
We have known Vicky since she married Gary and later moved to NC. She not only became a family member but also a cherished friend. She went on to become a cherished partner to Gary, but a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her giving nature and constant willingness to help others will always be remembered. Our prayers are with all of her family and friends. She is a wonderful lady who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
I think we had met your family briefly, so I really did know y'all very well, but your daughter Kari & her family are very dear to my family. To know Kari, Mikey, Easton & Weston is truly a God send & a blessing, that being said, I think we know the kind of folks y'all are, seeing the Godly ways you instilled in your kids & grandkids. I only wish we could have known you even closer. Hats off to you on a job well done while here on earth. God Bless your family.
I miss her so much. She didn't know how precious she was to so many, even though we tried to tell her. She knew that I loved her, but I wish I had said it more often.
Vickie reached out to me in 2011 and was very encouraging at a time when I had lost my husband very suddenly and very unexpectedly and she comforted me in kindness. She also always sent cookies to our office during the Christmas Season- She is too soon removed for us who are left but she is in perfect bliss in her new mansion on the streets of gold. Loved you Vickie- Prayers for Gary and your family-

We are praying for your family and can’t even imagine the loss you all must feel at this time. We were one of the blessed families that received one of Vickie’s wonderful meals when going through cancer treatment. She was the most giving person of her time and talents always cooking for others. She will be missed but never forgotten.
