Tim and I send blessings and prayers throughout these next several days and weeks. Vicki holds a special place in our hearts and she is very deeply missed. But I promise we will remember the happiest of times, our class times together and the good food and good fun we all shared. I am so very sorry to learn of Vickie's passing from this life! My heart aches for all of you! I am so grateful for her strong faith in God and the assurance you have that she is enjoying heaven! She was one special lady--so giving and caring! I have many fond memories of her and our days of friendship. I pray that God just surrounds you with His loving arms and draws you close during these very difficult days. I pray that you will see Him show up in special ways as you navigate life without her. To our dearest friends for over 40 years. Jim and I are still in disbelief. Vicki has been the greatest comfort this past year during the illness of our grandson. Vicki brought food and words of encouragement for over a year. Words cannot express how much she will be missed by me and our family. We are heartbroken.

How can you put in one paragraph a lifetime of sacrifice and love? Her presence brought peace, joy, and comfort knowing she cared and gave more than anyone I know. She had a way of giving you all her attention each time we were together. The little and big things mattered to her. I am so very sorry for your loss. She was precious to me and many many others, and you are precious to me.

Vicky will always remain dear to our hearts and cherished in our memories forever. We will miss the Sunday afternoon phone calls, her great cooking especially those cinnamon rolls, her generosity when we came to visit and love for her family. Her kindness and acts of love reminded us so much of Kathleen, who also left this earth way too soon. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. Jim & Donna

I got to know Vickie through a weekly sale we both went to, we became fast friends and always a ear to listen, looked forward to the sweets she had in her car after every sale for us to eat on the way home to Missouri. How the obituary hit her perfectly, always her love for cooking was apprent in her generous gifts of food to all, and she talked of all her grandchildren every time I saw her she was so proud of them and her girls. My heart is terribly sad at the loss of a dear friend and wonderful person, God has gained another angel that is feeding everyone in heaven!

My love & prayers for your family. I remember Mrs. Cheek taking Kari & us girls from elementary to camp out. On the way back home she stopped for a turtle passing in the road & let me get out to move it out of harms way. I will never forget that. I thought what a sweet lady. I always stop for the turtles now.

Dear Mr. Cheek, Kari and Dana,

I have no adequate words to share how sorry I am for your loss and what a loss it is to all!!! She was such a kind, pure heart. She had a unique way of caring for the broken and making them feel loved and part of the family. When my boys were with their dad for some holidays, she included me and made me feel like part of the family. I loved the way she cared for everyone around her. I also loved the bargain shopping tips she shared with me!!! Lol I know she will live forever in all of you.

Much love,

Alli

Vickie reached out to me in 2011 and was very encouraging at a time when I had lost my husband very suddenly and very unexpectedly and she comforted me in kindness. She also always sent cookies to our office during the Christmas Season- She is too soon removed for us who are left but she is in perfect bliss in her new mansion on the streets of gold. Loved you Vickie- Prayers for Gary and your family-

To the Family of Vickie Diane Cheek , i’m Sorry for your loss of your beloved, May you find comfort in the God of all comfort, Jehovah,(2 Corinthians 1:3’4) in his Word, the Bible, in Isaiah 57:15: For this is what the High and Lofty One says, Who lives forever and whose name is holy: “I reside in the high and holy place, But also with those crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of those being crushed. The only true God, has promised in his Word, in Isaiah 25:8: He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.....
