I served in the Navy.
Norman Glen PowellI am a Veteran.

of Vilonia, AR

August 11, 1956 - February 12, 2019

Norman Glen Powell, Sr., 62, of Vilonia, AR, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 12, 2019. He was born August 11, 1956 in North Little Rock, AR to the late Malcolm Nathaniel and Lillie Lucille (Moore) Powell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Powell and Malcolm Powell, Jr.

Norman was a veteran of the Navy. His family gave him the most enjoyment in life, especially his grandchildren. Norman enjoyed singing and riding motorcycles. He was known as a very friendly man who never met a stranger. Norman was loved very much by his friends and family, who will dearly miss his mischievous grin and goofy sense of humor.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, wife of 42 years, Kathy Meryl (Moore) Powell; sons, Norman Glen Powell, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Quitman, AR and Nathaniel Joel Powell and his wife Sheena of Elizabethtown, KY; daughter, Kristina Fischer and her husband Jimmy of Newport, AR; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Austin, Haven, Levi and Kaylee; brothers, Raymond Powell of Lonoke, AR and Allen Powell of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Mt. Carmel Community Church.

A memorial Service will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Community Church at 349 Hwy 107 in Vilonia, AR.

I miss you, Unc. U left us so unexpectedly and way to soon. I will cherish your memories and keep them alive through stories of good times and wonderful songs you would sing to all my babies and me! I came across a little trinket of you today in the rubble of my burned home, I'm gonna take you for a ride on my bike soon as I can. Miss my daddy, too. I guess y'all just had to leave us so soon. Love 4 eva, your niece.
I see yall shining down from up there. Until we rejoice..
