Louise Avey Goodman, 84, of Timbo, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Stone County Nursing and Rehab in Mountain View, Arkansas. Louise was born on October 28, 1934 in Big Springs, Arkansas to the late Lonnie Lewis and Clara (Williams) Avey. Louise was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working in sales. She loved to go camping and do crossword puzzles. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Louise is survived by her sister, Rhonda P. Stewart; one grandson, Jon Lancaster; one step-granddaughter, Shiela Kay Wilkie along with a host of extended family and friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Lewis and Clara (Williams) Avey; her husband, Doyle Goodman; one daughter, Colleen Dearien; three brothers, Max Leon and wife Jettia Louise Avey, Lonnie Letus Avey, and JE Avey; one nephew Rick Avey; one great-nephew, Derick Lewis Avey and one great-great nephew, Karson Layne Mullins.
Visitation is Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Big Springs Baptist Church in Big Springs, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM with Brother Junior Barham officiating. Interment is at Big Springs Cemetery in Big Springs, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Howard Dale Stewart, Anthony Jay Avey, Stanly Todd Avey, Braden Ray Avey, Andy Ray Avey, and Josh Avey. Honorary pallbearers are Tim and Elizabeth Mullins, Annette Avey, Robert Lee Avey, Andrea Avey, David Avey, Dr. Bishop, and the staff at Stone County Nursing and Rehab.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
