Doug Sumner, 65, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on January 16, 2019 at Stone County Medical Center. Doug was born on February 28, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Ronald and Mary Lou (Fehr) Sumner. Doug attended the First United Methodist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas and worked for many years as a registered respiratory therapist. Doug loved and was an avid supporter and volunteer with the Music Roots Program. Doug will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

Doug is survived by his father, Dr. Ronald Sumner (Clara); wife, Alayna Sumner; one son, CJ Sumner; two daughters, Jennifer Sears and Mindy Tucker (Jameson); one brother, Brad Sumner (Linda); step-daughters Rachel Thomas, Chelsea Thomas and step-son Ted Beaupre; Six grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou (Fehr) Sumner; wife, Becky (Frank) Sumner, and one brother Rodney Sumner.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

The family asks that flowers not be sent but donations be made to: Music Roots Program, c/o Simmons First Bank, P.O. Box 1910, Mountain View, Arkansas 72560 where an account has been set up.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Doug was a special person and someone I always considered a friend. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I am holding all of the family in my thoughts and prayers in the days to come.

Sorry to hear of Doug's passing. He was a fine man who loved life and his family. He will be missed.
