Betty Grafton Thompson passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 63. Betty was born April 28, 1955 in Hughes, Arkansas to parents Gordon and Jackie Grafton. Betty later met and married James Thompson. The two were able to spend the next 23 years together before God called her home. Betty worked as an LPN for many years in the OB/GYN Department for Crittenden Hospital. She loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. Her favorites were playing softball, the Atlanta Braves and Ole Miss Football.

Betty leaves behind her husband James, her brother, Robert Harlow (Lisa) of Enid, Mississippi, her daughter in law, Amanda Nash and two grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory, Sienna Nash and Parker Nash. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons; Michael Gobbell and Bobby Bowden III, and her brother, Gordon Grafton Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Research Hospital.

Prayers for this family. I loved Betty and remember when she was a nurse at Crittenden memorial. She was the best and will be missed by many.

So sorry for your lost. I worked with Betty at CMH for years. She was a great nurse and employee.We have laughed together and cried together. She will be greatly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers to her family. Love you Betty.
