Mrs. Marie (South) Wall, of Lake City, passed away at age 97 on Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born on June 27, 1921 in Lake City, to the late Ed and Willie (Thompson) South, Marie was married to the late J.H. Wall.
She was a member of Bowman Baptist Church of Lake City.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ray South and sister, Edna Qualls, both of Lake City.
Marie is survived by her stepdaughter, Lorene Mohrman of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Ruby Caldwell and Ida (Harold) Barker, both of Lake City; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family members are welcome to attend a graveside memorial service at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, Sunday, December 30 at 1:00pm. Pallbearers will be Kim Barker, Brannon Qualls, Teddy Qualls, Dr. Eddy Caldwell, Greg James and James Pierce. Honorary bearers are Gary Qualls and Sam Brannum.
Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
