Minnie Imogene ''Jeannie'' Goodman Jackson, 91, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018.
She was born Saturday, December 17, 1927 in Ash Flat to Joseph R. and Mary (Shands) Goodman.
Minnie was a member of the Evening Shade Methodist Church for 60+ years. She was at her best tending her garden and preserving her fruits and vegetables. She was a creative lady who also found time to paint scenes from her childhood. He family treasures these paintings.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Thomas (Ron) of Batesville, Catherine Bounds (Jim) of Cabot; one brother, Johnny Goodman (Reta) of Melbourne; four grandchildren, David Finley, Shawn Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Ian Jackson; and one great-grandchild, Jaxon Thomas.
Minnie is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Charles Jackson; her youngest daughter, Tressa Jackson; four brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20 at Roller-Crouch McGee Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City at 10 a.m.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

I feel like i knew Miss Jeannie all my life. So many people that were a huge part of my past have left us recently, leaving the world a completely different place. I have so many memories of vacation bible school and the methodist church in evening shade, and all the fun things we got to do during the summer. Miss Jeannie was right there guiding us and helping us. I will remember her always!
