Johnny Frank Johnson, 71, of West Memphis, AR went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on December 15, 2018 at the Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

One of nine children, he was born May 29, 1947 in Lafferty, AR to John Brack and Hazel Lorene Johnson. Johnny graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and Draughon's Business College in Little Rock. He retired from Arkansas Power and Light as a District Manager after 20 years, in addition to working at Sears for 15 years.

Johnny served his community through his involvement in various organizations including: The Marked Tree Lion's Club, Water Commission, School Board, City Council, President of Chamber of Commerce, and was elected to the Poinsett County Quorum Court. Johnny attended the West Memphis First Assembly of God and he dearly loved his Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents: Hazel Lorene Jones Johnson and John Brack Johnson; brother, Glen Johnson; sister, Shirley McClure and extended family members Ruby B. Dickerson and Joanne Hall Dickerson.

Survivors include: his loving and caring wife of 34 years, Lisa Jeanne Johnson of West Memphis; two children, Lance McDaniel (Michelle) of Marion, AR; Jennifer Johnson Cooper (Case) of Marion, AR; four grandchildren, Cody Doyle, Madison McDaniel, Brennan McDaniel, and Jackson Case Cooper; two sisters, Betty Winkle of Batesville, AR, Loretta Johnson (Boyce) of Cave City, AR; four brothers, Donnie Jett of Washington, MO, Jerry Murphy (Judy) of Ephrata, WA, Dallas Johnson of Franklin, AR, and Ernest Johnson of Mount Pleasant, AR.

He was proud of his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters. With kindness, generosity and modesty he tirelessly helped and contributed to the success of his family and friends.

Visitation will be 5 until 7 P.M. Monday, December 17th at West Memphis First Assembly of God. The funeral service will be at 1 P.M. Tuesday, December 18th at West Memphis First of Assembly of God. Interment will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, AR.

Johnny and I were friends when he worked in NLR. He was a wonderful Christian man and great friend. I pray for Gid’s Love and peace to surround his wife and family during this difficult time. RIP Johnny
