Rosemary Jones, age 96, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Community Compassion Center in Yellville.
Rosemary was born May 18, 1922 in the Blue John community in Marion County Arkansas to Walter W. and Della (Ott) Bearden. On July 13, 1941 she was married to Hester Jones and they lived in this community their entire lives.
Rosemary taught grade school in her early life. She also worked at Baxter Lab in Baxter County and worked 12 years at Marion County Sheriffs Office. Then she retired from the Bank of Yellville after working there for 18 ½ years.
She was Methodist and attended church at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church near Yellville, Arkansas.
Rosemary is survived by her brother-in-law Jerry Jones and his wife, Joyce, of Flippin, Arkansas; her sister-in-law Irene Humphrey of Flippin, Arkansas; and her nephews: Garry Hall; and Larry Bearden and his wife, Judith, all of Yellville, Arkansas; her god son Wayne Kastning of Los Angeles, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, W. Hester Jones; her brother Fred Bearden; her sisters: Ethel Hall, and Lou Pickel; her niece Patsy Wynn; and her nephews: Hollis Hall, Harold Pickel, Lynn Pickel, and Terry Pickel.
Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2018 , at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church near Yellville, Arkansas
Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church with Bro. Kem Reeder officiating.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Goodwin, Max Jones, Fred Wynn, Wayne Miles, Bruce Ott, and Doyle Hall.

Rosemary was a wonderful person & a great mentor to me when we worked together at the Bank of Yellville. She & Hester didn't have kids of their own but treated so many like their own kids, me included. After Hester passed away, my husband Dennis & I were so glad when she & his uncle Odale started "going together" as we called it. They were a great joy to one another in the later years of their life. Rest in peace, Rosemary. You were loved & appreciated by many.
