Eugenia Elizabeth Womack

of Conway, AR

July 15, 1930 - December 11, 2018

Eugenia Elizabeth (Jean) Womack, age 88 of Conway, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 of complications following surgery, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Tuesday, July 15, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ed and Sally Clements, she was the youngest of six children. In 1947 at the age of 16, Jean met and married the love of her life, Charles. She devoted her life to be the best wife she could be to our dad. We rejoice that she is now with him in heaven.

In the early years of marriage, Jean kept the books at the family business, The Lion Oil Agency, in Cabot. After graduating Arthur's Beauty College in the 60's, she opened Artistic Beauty Salon adjoining her home where she could still tend to her family while being a hairdresser.
Jean was a loving mom and a wonderful grandmother. She was so incredibly proud of every single family member and truly loved to celebrate every single birthday and holiday, looking forward to gathering and documenting it with pictures. Most of all she was a devoted Christ follower, loved Jesus and desired her family to know Him too. A true Proverbs 31 woman.
Always in the kitchen, her delicious baked goods and roasts will not be forgotten. A lover of music, she played the piano and the accordion, playing on the radio as a child. She was in the Lonoke County Home Demonstration Club and the Garden Club winning blue ribbons for flower arranging. Over the years she quilted, painted, sewed, needlepointed, cake decorated, upholstered, refinished and bejeweled anything and everything. Her last night on this earth, she was thrilled to decorate a Christmas cookie.

Jean had loved fishing and camping with Charles and was thrilled to catch a fish with her grandson this past summer. She loved sports and followed the Razorbacks, Cowboys and the LRCA Warriors. She also loved to learn and at 88 was very proficient with her computer, IPAD and made wonderful homemade cards, sent emails and face timed with her great-grands. She loved to write and has blessed her family, leaving them with journals of her thoughts and her faith and life experiences as well as beautiful poems well thought out for each person.
Jean is predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years Charles Womack; 2 sisters Gladys Pistorius & Rena Jones; 3 brothers Wilburn Clements, Ross Clements and Hurschel Clements and her great-granddaughter Lexy Simpkins.

She is survived by 2 sons, Bobby (Janet) Womack of Batesville, Kent (Paulette) Womack of Conway; 2 daughters, Carol Sue (Eugene) Jones of Cabot, Jan (Barry) Corkern of Little Rock. 4 grandsons, Rob (Stacy) Womack, Richard (Angee) Kennedy, Scott (Heather) Womack, Lawson Corkern; 4 granddaughters, Angelique Kennedy, Audra (Nathaniel) Keen, Jennifer (Nick) Yarberry, Lauren (Zach) Fendley, 2 step grandchildren, 25 great and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean loved God and was an active member of First Baptist Cabot 55 years where she taught Sunday School, GAs, Bible School, served as WMU Director and sang in the choir. She and Charles joined 2nd Baptist Conway after moving there in 2003.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Sid Siddiqui of Heart Clinic Arkansas for his excellent care over the years, the caregivers of Home Instead Senior Care with special gratitude to Jane Garvey for her dedication and devotion, and to Clytie Ingle for her lifelong friendship and care of our mom.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm. Friday, December 14 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home at 650 Central Landing Blvd, Conway. Funeral will be at 10 am, Saturday December 15 at First Baptist Church, 204 N. 3rd, Cabot with Dr. Del Medlin, Rev. Bobby Womack and Stan Young officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons: Rob Womack, Richard Kennedy, Scott Womack, Lawson Corkern, Tyler Baker, Nathaniel Keen, Nick Yarberry and Zach Fendley. Honorary pallbearer Dr. Scott Smith. Memorial Donations may be made to the Second Baptist Church, Conway or First Baptist Church, Cabot.

Mrs. Womack, while you will be missed by so very many, you can thank God that you inspired the beautiful growth of a Godly family. There are many things one can consider achievements in this life, but I think yours is the best. Thank you for sharing and teaching others to share your love and God's love. As I always sign: God bless the Yarberrys and Womacks.
