Kenneth Thomas Russell, 97, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away December 6, 2018, at Baptist Health Medical Center. He was born June 24, 1921, to William and Bessie Russell.
Mr. Russell was a member of the United States Marine Corps and served his country during World War II. During his time in the service, he was awarded a Purple Heart. After his time in the service, he worked at Crescent Mill Works and retired from Barton's Lumber Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and reading his bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Jennie Pearl, of fifty-two years, and Betty Jean, of twenty-three years; brother, L.V. Russell; and sister, Lucy Starnes.
Survivors include his son, Thomas S. (Lyn) Russell, daughter, Mary Sue (Norman) Smith; grandchildren, Norma Sue (Russ) Burns, Scarlette Michelle Smith, Lincoln Thomas (Traci) Russell, and Nicholas Grant Russell; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Burns, Rachel Burns, and Reid Russell.
Funeral services will be held December 10, 2018, at 2:00PM at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Burial will follow at 3:00PM at Noble Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas. Bro. James G. Lumpkin Jr. and Bro. Donnie Copeland will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lincoln Russell, Nicholas Russell, Russ Burns, Larry Martin, Johnny Holder, and Lynn Russell.
Visitation will precede services at 1:00PM at the funeral home.

Very sorry for your loss. Mr. and Mrs. Russell spent many hours fishing on the Spring River in Hardy. We enjoyed being "cabin neighbors" to them. He was a good man.
A true hero who will be missed greatly. Love you all and really wish I could be there.
