Loyd Hathcoat, 71, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. Bernards Hospital. He was born April 21, 1947 in Cardwell, MO to Raymond and Gertie Hawkins Hathcoat. Mr. Hathcoat was self-employed and of the Church of Christ belief. He loved cabinetry, woodworking and chickens. He loved his grandchildren and watching them play.
Mr. Hathcoat is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his son, Alan Hathcoat of Paragould; daughter, Amy (Patrick) Sheedy of Paragould; grandchildren, Landon Hathcoat, Hannah McKelvey and London Sheedy; brother, Edward (Karen) Hathcoat; sister, Susie (Tracey) Grimsley; and his extended family, Nathan and Becca McKelvey; several nieces and nephews; and Ella Jones.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Pine Log Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
No visitation is scheduled.
