James "Scott" Butler, age 50, of North Little Rock, passed away on November 25, 2018.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and JoAnn Butler; two sisters, Leslie Himstedt (Paul) and Laura Butler (Mark Brandon); two nephews, Matthew and Drew Himstedt, who were very special to him; and two canine friends and companions, Skittles and Joe.
He was baptized and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of North Little Rock. He was a land surveyor, working with his dad at Butler Surveying Company for over 30 years. He was well loved and had many friends.
A memorial visitation will be at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK, North Little Rock on Sunday, December 2 from 1-3PM. A private service will be held at a later date.

Scott and I worked together in the 90’s at US Pizza Co. We always had a blast even though it was work! We became good concert buddies! Loved the Rock scene back then! Gonna miss your good nature ways my friend!!! R.I.P. Scott! Love ya brother!!!

My heart aches for my best friend Laura and the Butler family. I always liked Scott and hated to see him struggle. I remember how giving he was though and willing to help people. He was funny when he wanted to be and made us laugh. Our condolences to you. We love you.
