Joseph E. Brown, 79, of Conway Arkansas, formerly of Logansport, Indiana went to be with the Lord Monday November 19, 2018. He was born June 16, 1939 to the late Forest and Lillie Lyon Brown in Logansport, Indiana. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Sharon Cloud Brown and his 4 sons. Joseph and Miki Brown, and Kevin Brown of Logansport, Indiana. Shawn and Parisa Brown of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Dr. (Major) Chad and Kari Brown of Fort Hood, Texas. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Ethan Brown of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Amelia, Perry, and Harper Brown of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Ayden and Garrett Brown of Fort Hood, Texas. He is also survived by his brother Tom and Judy Brown of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Joe graduated from Logansport High School in 1957. He served 3 years in the U.S. Army and worked 20 years for General Tire as a manager at both Logansport Indiana and Batesville Arkansas locations. Following General Tire, he was the Plant Manager for Griffith Rubber Mills in Conway, Arkansas for 28 years, retiring in 2011.
He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. He has served as an Elder, sang in the church choir, and worked with the juvenile jail ministry. He was a Mason and Shriner belonging to Tipton Lodge No. 33, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine, and Logansport Shrine Club.
A memorial service will be held in Conway on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m.
