Ivon Delores Allen, age 94, of Summit, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Ivon was born February 20, 1924 in Cotter, Arkansas to the late Hobert and Ellen (Spoon) Spangler. A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Allen and her husband, Gene, started Allen's Grocery Store in 1954. She operated the business until she retired in 1999. Ivon was a loving mother and grandmother; her family was her life. She attended Church on the Rock in Yellville and enjoyed walking with he sister at the walking track until her health would not permit it.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her son Charles Allen and his wife, Linda, of Summit, Arkansas; her grandson Tony Allen and his wife, Shelly, of Summit, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Allen; her granddaughter Gina Allen; two sisters: Anna Lee Marberry and Zella Mae Bejan; and a great-grandson Samuel Beau Allen.
Visitation for Mrs. Allen will be 1:00 '''' 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville with Bro. Kevin Duffy officiating.
Interment will follow at Layton Cemetery in Yellville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Issac Allen, Sawyer Allen, Nick Allen, Robbie Allen, Elizabeth Rae Allen, Steve Copeland, and Jason Duffy.
Memorials may be made to Church on the Rock, PO Box 506, Yellville, Arkansas.
