Archie Franklin Carey passed away peacefully on November 13, 2018 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 93. Archie was born December 19, 1924 in Grubbs, Arkansas to parents Marlin and Grace Carey. Archie was of the Baptist faith. He spent his entire life as a farmer. Archie was known throughout his community of Heth, Arkansas as the one person people could turn to when they needed help and he never asked for anything in return. He was truly a giving person.

Archie is survived by two sons; Randall and Ronnie Carey (Gail) and one daughter Gracie Young (Darryl). He leaves three sisters; Bobbie Sue Wilson, Martha Wilson and Bernice Spann (Joe) and one brother, Joe Carey (Omijean). Archie will be deeply missed by four grandchildren; Kriscinda Young, Marla Carey, Brent Young, Ryan Carey as well as three great-grandchildren; Emma Young, Tyler Carey and Aiden Carey. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Christine, brothers; Jack and Floyd Carey and his sister Pauline Rhodes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

We didn’t know Mr. Carey very well . He was a very nice man. Always saying hi at the post office. He has been missed since he went to Jonesboro. May God wrap his arms around all of you and help you through this time. RIP Mr. Carey you will be missed.

DEAR GRACIE, RANDALL & RONNIE I AM SO SORRY ABOUT UNCLE ARCHIE.HE WAS ONE OF A KIND I LOVED HIM SO MUCH & ALWAYS TOLD HIM WHEN I BROUGHT DADDY DOWN.I KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH BUT YOU HAD TO WATCH.HIM SUFFER SO LONG & WANT TO BE HOME.WELL HE'S HOME NOW WITH ALL HIS FAMILY.HE SURE DIDNT WANT TO GO ON THE WAY HE WAS.YOU ALL WERE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE HIM FOR YOUR DAD & AUNT CHRISTINE FOR YOUR MOM.I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU.IDK WHATS WORSE THE WAY DADDY PASSED OR THE WAY UNCLE ARCHIE WENT.MAYBE UNEXPECTED.BOTH ARE SO TRAGIC.I HOPE YOU STILL KEEP IN TOUCH I LOVE YOU ALL

Never dreamed today would happen... I'm gonna miss you so bad pawpaw. Thank you for always loving me and keeping me in line. Teaching me to drive... trucks and tractors ... I'm thankful we got to spend these last couple months together and I'd give anything to have it be the way it was ... but I know your better off now and up there farming with grandmother and maw maw ... My sweet paw paw I will always cherish every little memory we had I remember sitting on your lap and you telling me stories of your farming days you’ll always be that sweet soul who allows kept snack cakes stashed in the cabinets for me and sister oh how I will miss you oh so dearly but I know your dancing among the angels fly high until I see you again ❤️
